NAQG Conference

The Annual NAQGCON: 2015
North American Quilling Guild Conference NAQGCON
formerly known as the Annual Guild Meeting (AGM)
The NAQG Conference is always a very special event. In addition to getting an opportunity to meet other quillers from all over the world, you will able to see their work and learn and try new techniques. At this time we do not have a class schedule to post here. If you think you might be interested in giving a class/workshop please contact the hostess for this years NAQGCON as soon as possible.

Club Pro:              My husband Ray will be happy to offer GOLFING.  He will provide transportation and the days will be determined on how many want to play GOLF.  Email me if interested.
I don’t have anyone local at this time to help me so attendees will need to make and bring their own ID nametag, with your name large enough for everyone to see and please include your hometown.
I hope many of you will consider volunteering to teach a class, demonstrate techniques, Make-it/Take-it’s, and donating items for the raffle table.  Please email me as I’m open to all ideas, suggestions, and any help you can offer.
I’d like to repeat Lois Bandt-Weber’s challenge of 2009 and ask EVERYONE to make PAR and enter at least ONE competition category.  Although the more categories you enter, the better chance you have of making a HOLE IN ONE.  Start ROLLING your projects now!

The general schedule of a NAQGCON goes something like this:

Thursday: Most people arrive, register, receive conference materials, greet old friends and make new friends. A hospitality room will be available during the conference for quilling and socializing.
Friday: All day classes, as well as setting up for the competition, vendors, and personal displays. Friday evening we will vote on the competition work and possibly have the raffle.
Vendors will usually set up their booths so they are available Friday night and all day Saturday.
Saturday: Includes classes (if needed); admiring everyone's work; giving demonstrations, as well as greeting and teaching the public who come to see our work; also the announcement of the competition winners.
Some conferences have 'giveaways' and sometimes an auction at the conference. If you plan on donating any items please contact the hostess for this years NAQGCON as soon as possible . Be sure to mark any items you send so she will know which are to be used for giveaways/auction and which items are for the competition. If you are planning to attend there is a list of forms, rules, etc below that you will need to download, fill-out and send to your hostess. Also if you are willing to be a greeter (to meet the public) or help in any other way, I am sure it would be appreciated.
Thanks to the generosity of our members who volunteer their services and their expertise we are able to better educate people on the Art of Quilling. Remember the more people who are willing to give classes the better. It allows the NAQGCON to offer a variety of classes and workshops at no extra charge. Do not forget to pack your own quilling tools, glue, scissor etc (they can travel in your checked luggage). You will need extra paper to try out all of the new things you will see and learn.
Our hostess is waiting to hear from you.
